MTLYoga Campaign!

UPDATED: May 23
Due to recent demand since the sharing of my Huffington piece on yoga, I've extended the MTLYoga Campaign!

My recent Indiegogo campaign ended just yesterday, and together we nearly hit the $4,000 goal - but I'm hoping with your help, to surpass it! Thank you so much!

WHY I'M RAISING FUNDS TO SUPPORT MORE TO LOVE'S EXPANSION

I am excited to share that More To Love’s mission of teaching women how to love their bodies is about to grow even more!

I have been accepted to the Kripalu Center of Yoga & Health and, in June 2015, will take up residency for one month to become a trained and certified yoga instructor. During my stay, I will be immersed in daily teacher training and comprehensive mind-body education at the longest and most well-respected schools of yoga and healthy living in the U.S.

Why yoga? Why now? I have been doing yoga for over eight years and know firsthand how rewarding, healing, and empowering this practice can be for people who have long struggled with weight and poor body image. But too often, larger bodies are scared to try a class, believing their body type isn't suited for it, and that's a shame.

The truth is: The image of yoga has not been as inclusive to all body types as it can be . . .But the world is changing.

I want to help make yoga more accessible to all bodies by creating inspiring programs (in person and online) that blends the incredible body-acceptance work of More To Love with the holistic practice of yoga. The beauty of yoga is how connected one can feel to their own body through the practice, and building a positive, encouraging community to support this lies at the heart of why I created More To Love.

Kripalu Yoga, excited by my vision to share and expand yoga this way, has generously provided me a partial scholarship to attend the program. While it certainly helps, I need to raise additional funds to ensure I can participate fully in the program.

Funds raised will support:

  • Kripalu Yoga teacher training program fees + accommodations
  • Required training materials and supplies
  • Essential upgrades to More To Love business capital
  • Development  of in-person and online programming (workshops, e-courses) once training is complete

I hope you will consider contributing towards my yoga training, which will directly impact and make possible the work of bringing health and happiness to people of all shapes and sizes.

Please know how deeply I appreciate your support, encouragement, and belief in me and for what More To Love stands for.

Sincerely,

Rachel
